4.01.MISSION OF STATEMENT:

It is designed and dedicated to provide the integrated holistic medical education (IHME) to the qualified and traditionally trained practitioners of holistic medicines and healing with an opportunity to enhance their academic growth (knowledge and skills) to Postgraduate levels as - Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in general and speciality with the mission to provide the quality service to the patients and helps the community to lead a long productive life.

4.02. AIMS OF THE COURSE:

• To integrate the existing holistic medicine and healing on possible modern scientific grounds.
• To enrich the holistic medicine with modern scientific principles. 
• To make holistic medicine and healing more assessable to the common men

4.03. COMMON HOLISTIC MEDICAL SYSTEMS:

There are about 1350 types of medicine / therapy / healings practiced all over the world. India has rich heritage of holistic medicine and healing. Almost all religions have some or the other system of treatment and healing in different name. For practical purposes, WAIM has involved the following systems.

• AUM Therapy
• Kundalini Therapy
• Astro Medicine
• Yoga and Meditation
• Natural Medicine
• Auric Healing

4.04. CHOICE OF SYSTEMS:

Candidates can choose any three systems for completion of their Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma course.

Candidates seeking admission in the institute of holistic medicine must have passed the bachelor/graduate degree in any of the above mentioned holistic / healing system, where the bachelor degree is not possible in the country, the candidate must have passed the bachelor / graduate degree with related system/stream and two years training in specific system or the candidate must have passed 10+2 with more than 5 years experience in related system. In case of an outstanding healer / practitioner in any holistic system recognised by the community and our any institution may get approved by WAIM and further relaxation.

4.06. COURSE CURRICULUM:

Each candidate will be separately intimated / guided for the course contents in theory, article, practical and viva-voce after enrolment. Besides, theory, practical and procedures, the candidate undergoing any Diploma or Advanced Diploma has to write an article (not exceeding 30 pages) except in rare as decided by academic body of WAIM. The article must be submitted three months prior to final examination.

4.07. DURATION AND RELAXATION IN COURSES:

All the Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses run by World Association of Integrated Medicine through various institutions are of one, two and three years respectively. Candidates having two years or more experience in any health institution / healing centre will get one year exemption in Diploma Course and the candidates with five or more experience will get two years exemption in Advanced Diploma Course.

4.08. SPECIALTIES IN ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE:

WAIM offer postgraduate courses in Integrated Holistic Medicine and its specialties. The courses are as – Certificate C - Specialty (HM), Diploma D - Specialty (HM) and Advanced Diploma AD - Specialty (HM). The courses are offered in following branches and specialties.

4.09. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION:

• All Certificate and Diploma holders are requested to suffix Holistic Medicine (HM) within the bracket with respective certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. Without suffixing HM will be taken as illegal and legal action may be initiated.
• The above are commonly available Holistic Medical / Healing Systems are available in India, other system will be incorporated depending availability and demand.
• Candidates of the Institute of Holistic Medicine can only earn the other certificate, diploma and advanced diploma of optional specialty of institute of alternative and any more in holistic medicine after earning the advanced diploma.
